Where/What To Restock

In this section I will show you where to restock for your level of experience, the common haggles, and other miscellaneous info. For complete list on what to restock in different shops you will have to go to this petpage.

Restock System
If you were a restocker years ago, then you would know that every restock was at a specified time. When I began restocking, this system was already overhauled and the restock times made "random". I double quote random because it is most likely just a complex script that is hard to predict. Some claim to have figured it out, but I don't pay them much attention. If I knew how the restock system worked, then I [probably would not make it public either. For us mere mortals, we will have to simply refresh until we see a "random" restock.

Rarity Of Items
Mostly due to Auto Buyers (programs that buy items from shops), not all accounts can see all items in a shop. Items go by rarity and the rarity you can see depends on your account age.
This prevents people from creating new accounts over and over and getting them frozen using an Auto Buyer or other form of cheat. The highest rarity of item that can restock is R100, but they are extremely rare. You will most likely never see an item over R99 stock. The rarities each account age can see is as listed:

Newbie - r79 and under
10 days - r84 and under
16 days - r89 and under
1 month - r94 and under
3 months - r99
Note: you may or may not be able to see r100s at 3 months.

Where To Restock At What Account Age
Newbie - r79 and under: I recommend restocking at the Pharmacy as there are plenty of low rarities that are decent profit. It is a very easy shop and almost every newbie starts out there. Common haggles in Pharmacy: 486; 535; 3123; 3535; 4242, 5345. At this age I would stay away from Books. Another shop I recommend is Toy, there are many low rarity pinatas that stock there. There are also occasionally usukicon bags, which can go very fast. Pinatas are not too hard to restock; they can stock multiple at a time. Common haggles in Toy Shop: 687; 786; 789; 896; 2453; 5656, 7867. You may also want to restock low rarities at the Food Shop, such as Bag Of Peanuts, which is a common avatar item that sells for hundreds of thousands of neopoints. Restocking these can be a challenging task; I do not recommend it to beginners. Common haggles in Food Shop: 898; 789, 987.

10 days - r84 and under: In addition to Pharmacy, Food Shop, and Toy Shop, I recommend restocking at Kayla's for the low rarity Bubbling Fungus and other stat increasers that stock there. Common haggles in Kayla's: 3232; 3123; 232; 4242; 4534, 5345. You can also restock some Pinatas at the Toy Shop.

16 days - r89 and under: In addition to Pharmacy, Toy Shop, and Kayla's, I recommend restocking at Books and buying any 2500NP & 5000NP books. Common haggles in Books: 2525; 2342; 2453; 5353; 5345, 5645. I would no longer bother restocking in Food Shop, but that is up to you.

1 month - r94 and under: In addition to Pharmacy, Toy Shop, Kayla's, and Books, you may also want to try restocking at Stamp and Uni's. These both, however, stock some items that are too rare to see with a 1 month account. If you choose to restock in these shops at only 1 month, then you will only be able to see small profits. Shops like Pharmacy, Kayla's, and Books will become increasingly profitable depending upon your account age, which is why I would recommend sticking with these and being patient. Common haggles in Stamp: 2453; 2525; 3453; 3535; 5345; 5645; 9689; 9789; 12312; 12323, 23123. Common haggles in Uni's: 1313; 1231; 2342; 2453; 3453; 5345; 5645; 8678; 9689, 12312.

3 months - r99: When your account is 3 months old you will be able to restock in any shop, limited only by your own experience and speed.

What Shops Are Right For You
Let's take a look at the shops I restock in (ordered from favorite to least favorite): Merifoods, Royal Potionery, Magic, Usuki, Neopian Petpets, Tyrannian Petpets, Books, Uni's, Defence Magic, Battle Magic, Coin, Kayla's, Stamp, Ice Crystals, Brightvale Armoury, and lastly Haunted Weaponry. If you are not an adept restocker already then I would recommend staying in shops that frequently restock small unbuyables rather than restocking in shops that restock one or two big items. That said, I am more of a camper. When you stay in a shop for a long period of time waiting for a rare item to stock it is known as camping. If you are more of a beginner, you may want to stick to shops such as Pharmacy and Books. If you want something a little more challenging, I recommend restocking in shops such as Usuki, Uni's, Coin, Kayla's, and Stamp. I do not restock in Stamp often, but you will want to try out each shop and find what works for you. If you want to see how you will fare in the most popular shops, then I suggest you practice in Magic; one of the fastest and most popular shops. If you can restock some decent morphing potions, then you will probably want to try shops that stock bigger items, such as Meri, Rpot, BM, and DM. There are many more shops that restock big items very rarely.

Restock Bans
A restock ban is when you are banned from seeing items in every shop. When you are restock banned you might notice that many items previously in the shop have disappeared. This is just another defense to stop Auto Buyers from simply buying every morphing potion, draik egg, and unbuyable that stocks. Restock bans typically last 16 hours, but can last up to 24 hours. You may even get unbanned after 5 (five) minutes of being banned, but this is very rare. Do not fear restock bans; it is much more important to catch every restock spot-on. Would you rather make neopoints at the rate of 1M /hr and get banned in one hour, or at the rate of 200k /hr and get banned in five hours? I would much rather maximize my profit-to-time ratio and get banned faster, thus becoming unbanned faster. I estimate that I have been restock banned 300-400 times as of 07/9/09.
